ABOUT ME

Let me introduce myself: my name is Simone, at 19 I began travelling with two main goals: see the world and gain as much working experience as possible in a constantly evolving trade where flexibility and under the belt experience are essentials.

I started working as tour guide and tour leader in Egypt dealing with a wide range of tasks from logistics to intermediate with airlines and hotels and provide daily assistance to tourists in order to assure customer satisfaction in the different destinations in the country such as the sea resort areas of Sharm El Sheikh, Hurgada, the Nile cruisers and the capital city, Cairo. After supervising the first summer season in the new destination of Antalya on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey I made the transition to hotel industry in 2002, starting in a property in Scotland where I was hired as receptionist. Since then I have worked in a variety of properties of different sizes, categories, privately ran and also part of major international chains like Starwood, Accor and the luxury consortium The Leading Hotels of the World. In tune with my primary goals, I have covered several positions in every department in order to get an all-around understanding of the departments of a hospitality or catering business. Canada, UK, Spain, are amongst the countries where I have worked, I was also part of task forces, at different stages of my career, that took me to Cuba and more destinations. This approach allowed me to understand that although the final objective is the exact same, there are very significant differences in each establishment and different ways to reach the intended target. I have seen what works and what doesn’t and every facet of the industry.

As freelance consultant, I led the start-up of boutique properties on the island of Zanzibar and helped other businesses in Spain such as restaurants and rural B&Bs to get back on track. I have witnessed and lived first-hand how a holistic approach to better run a business can, not only benefit the financial aspect of it, but also improve the quality of life of the individuals involved. My goal is to help implement this work system in your business and reestablish a balance. Commitment, passion for the industry and wealth of experience allow me to embrace the challenge of helping innkeepers to better their business on a 360 degrees’ scale and take it to a higher level.
